New Fleet for Homeline
Mon 15th Feb 2010
Homeline Building Products, the environmentally friendly roofline manufacturer, has recently invested in a brand new fleet to service its customers across the UK & Ireland.
4 new articulated lorries have been purchased by the company to add to the existing fleet, each specially designed to accommodate larger loads to maximise fuel consumption and lower carbon footprints. The new curtain sided vehicles, which have been specially adapted to carry 16 stillage rather than 12, will enable Homeline to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of deliveries from its South Wales manufacturing facility.
Over 2500 new stillages have also been manufactured in the last few months ready for the arrival of the new vehicles. The new green stillages have been designed to be easily manoeuvrable for quick and efficient turnarounds, whilst also being easy to stack once empty.
The new fleet is also sure to catch the eye of passing motorists as it carries an image of a stunning ‘wood effect' roofline with Heat Shield technology as standard.
The purchase of the new fleet further reinforces Homeline's commitment to invest in the industry, and is one of many exciting developments recently announced.
"We are starting to see a turnaround in the market place, especially since our switch to ‘environmentally friendly' calcium zinc production methods which is fast becoming the norm," explains Paul Jayne, Homeline's MD, "Our customer are also telling us they are seeing an improvement, so having the new fleet ready to enter service has come at the right time for us, and indeed our customers."
