Mixing Plant Phase 2

Mixing Plant Phase 2

Thu 6th Oct 2011

The second phase of development at Homeline Building Products' state of the art, in-house, mixing plant has begun.

Homeline's substantial investment is designed to increase the factories output, inline with the ever-increasing popularity and strong growth of their PVC-U product range. Phase 2 will provide additional manufacturing functions including the facility to mix skin grade and rigid PVC for their extensive collection of Fascias, Soffits, Gutters and CLadding.

Homeline has successfully operated an in-house mixing plant to produce its BBA approved range of Lead and Tin free Fascias, Soffits and Trims.

Always "green aware" however, phase 2 will enhance and improve Homeline's environmentally responsible manufacturing processes. In addition, Homeline has recently introduced ‘Core', an exciting and innovative new range of recycled roofline, already BBA approved.

Julian Allen, Group Manufacturing Manager commented "It has always been our firm intention to continue to build on the success that phase one of the in-house mixing plant has delivered. Phase 1 gave us the capability, capacity and technical expertise to mix our own cellular foam formulation, and remove harmful Lead & Tin stabilisers from the manufacturing process. Phase 2 will now allow Homeline to go even further by allowing us produce ‘Core' the industry's first BBA approved recycled roofline suitable for both the domestic and commercial markets."

He concluded, "We continue to provide our customers the highest quality PVC-U products possible, with the least impact on the environment. We strive to be one of the most environmentally conscious cellular foam manufacturers in the UK and Ireland to provide our customers with advantages in the market place."
